Core Values

At Holy Trinity we have seven core values based on the PEBBLES acronym.

Prayer and Worship
Evangelism
Bible
Belong
Love
Equip and Edify
Stewardship

Prayer and Worship –
We encourage people to worship together as a family and draw on this natural support group God has provided. We will saturate every decision, every task, every meeting, everything we do in the ever present power of prayer. We will seek to make prayer and vibrant worship of the living God we know in Jesus Christ a central hub of all activity and ministry at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Evangelism –
We announce the good news of Jesus Christ and the new life He brings. Because all people matter to God, this congregation exists to seek, welcome and reach all in our community with a culturally relevant message of the good news of Jesus Christ. We aspire to innovate and find new and creative ways of doing ministry. Sharing the good news of Jesus permeates everything we do. God wants us to reach out and share his love, forgiveness and new life through Christ with all people in word and deed (Romans 1:16).
Bible –
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. As such, we faithfully preach and teach the truth of God’s Word and make it our norm and guide in daily life. We actively seek to make the reading of God's Word a daily part of our lives.
Belong –
God created us to be in fellowship with one another. We will provide settings that foster meaningful relationships, pastoral care and authentic Christian community. We encourage lasting life change through small groups.
Love –
Because of God’s grace and forgiveness, we welcome, accept and love people unconditionally. We speak the truth in love and seek to demonstrate love, care and compassion in all that we say and do. We value the Great Commandment to love God above all else and love our neighbor as ourselves (John 15:12).
Equip & Edify –
Tapping into the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, we will work to transform peoples' lives, build up the family, and call people beyond membership to radical discipleship. We will equip and edify lay people to be lay leaders and mature disciples of Jesus Christ. We will invest to develop people in ministry, knowing this is a wise investment that will pay dividends for God's kingdom. Insofar as the Spirit builds people, they will build ministry and further God's work. We intentionally minister to children and youth in our community, as they form the foundation of the future.
