Director, Marijean Storlie
Marijean has been directing the preschool since it started in September of 1998. As the off site coordinator, her responsibilities include the overall operation of the preschool as well as overseeing the seven preschool staff members. She reports to the Sonshine Christian Preschool Board at their monthly meetings and attends all other necessary meetings, programs, etc.
Marijean also coordinates the Early Childhood Family Education Department for District #717. She has over twenty-five years of experience and loves working with children and their families both at Jordan Elementary School and at Sonshine Preschool. When not busy with her positions, she enjoys: reading, exercising, music, camping, and spending time with her husband Jeff, her children Natalie Jo and Jack, and family, and friends. Contact .
Lead Teacher, Marilyn Breimhorst
Marilyn has been the lead teacher at Sonshine since it opened in the fall of 1998. She has many years of experience in Early Childhood Education, including eleven plus years with E.C.F.E. in New Prague. Marilyn loves to set up learning environments where kids can explore and discover their world through play. She continues to be inspired by watching the way that young children change and develop over a short period of time. Watching the growth and development of each child as the year goes on is her favorite part about teaching. Marilyn and her husband, Dan, have two adult sons: Jay and Jon and have lived in New Prague for over twenty-eight years.
Lead Teacher, Lisa Transburg
Lisa has been at Sonshine for almost five years working as a lead teacher. She is married and has two daughters, and enjoys getting to know all the students and families throughout the years.
Assistant Teacher, Kathleen Schafer
Mrs. Kathleen is an assistant to Mrs. Marilyn and is also a licensed lead teacher, so you may see her filling in for Mrs. Marilyn or Mrs. Lisa. She has been with Sonshine for five years and has enjoyed the children tremendously. Kathleen and her husband live in New Market and have three children.

Vicki has been at Sonshine for six years working as a teacher's assistant. She is married and has a son and a daughter. She enjoys getting to know everyone - all the students and families throughout the years.
